May 24 – May 30 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Anxiously Engaged In A Good Cause

We have multiple Come Follow Me subscriptions and multiple activities in each subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help achieve our goal.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

Teach your family about the two greatest commandments. Use your index finger on one had as you talk about loving God with all your heart, might, mind, and strength. Then use your index finger on the other hand as you talk about loving your neighbor. Then bring your index fingers together and make a heart shape with your hand. When we obey these two commandments our hearts are full of love. Complete the heart puzzle as you discuss how you can show love to Heavenly Father. Then sing “Love One Another.”

Simplified Come Follow Me Activity

Read Doctrine and Covenants 59:7. Use the “My Gratitude ABC’s” page to think of something you are grateful for that starts with each letter of the alphabet. Think of some people you are grateful for and create thank you cards to take or mail to these people.

Standard Come Follow Me Activities

The Standard Activities includes the Simplified activity and more!

COLOR IT ACTIVITY:

Read D&C 59:5-8. Discuss as a family the different commandments and how we can obey each of them. Then color the “Subway Art Coloring Page.”

STUDY IT ACTIVITY:

Study D&C 59:5 by completing the “Break The Code.” Discuss what it means to “love the Lord with all thy heart.” What are way we can show our love to God?

SURPRISE ACTIVITY:

Read D&C 59:9-16. Discuss what it means to keep the sabbath day holy. Complete the “Sabbath Day Holy Sticker Calendar” by deciding what activities are good choices to make on Sunday and what activities are better for other days of the week. Print the pictures on sticker paper to place on the calendar. Or cut and paste the pictures to the calendar.
