January 23 – January 29 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

Enjoy these fun activities as we learn about baptism this week.

1. Baptism is an important step we have to take in order to return to live with Heavenly Father. Read about Jesus being baptized in Matthew 3:13-17 and color the coloring page.
2. Learn the song “When I am Baptized.” Give each person a mini songbook to help them learn the song. They can listen to the song as they color the black and white version and keep it by their beds to look at each night.
3. Create a gift with to represent the Holy Ghost. Read Matthew 3:11,16. Let someone open the present and pull out the different items that represent the Holy Ghost. Ex. blanket for comforter, compass to guide us, etc.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Go and Do Family Activity:

In Matthew 3:11,16 we learn about who the Holy Ghost is. Memorize the first Article of Faith and then play the Holy Ghost Hot and Cold game as you sing the song “The Holy Ghost” (Children’s Songbook pg 105).

Summary of this week’s Hands-On Learning Activity:

Read Matthew 3 and learn about the responsibilities of the Aaronic Priesthood and how it blesses your life. Then see who has the best aim the Aaronic Priesthood Blesses Us Target Game.
