Start this Come Follow Me FHE lesson talking about Enos. Read Enos 1:4-27. Share with your family a time when your prayer was answered. Create the Enos Prayer Wheel included in the materials and let children use it to retell the story in their own words. Then discuss how we should pray to show respect to Heavenly Father.
Once you have learned about how we pray, teach about what we include in our prayers using the five finger prayer book. Let children draw pictures of items they would be thankful for, ask for, etc.
End the lesson with the pretzel story and a pretzel snack.
For a bonus activity this week you may consider making a prayer pillow or rock with your children to serve as a daily reminder to pray.
Read the Words of Mormon book. It is just one chapter but is important in bridging the two sets of plates. Read the section in the Come Follow Me Manual for Individuals and Families on page 51 that aligns with the Words of Mormon and complete the coloring page of Mormon.
Use the Holy Ghost teaching poster as you talk about how Mormon listened to the Holy Ghost. You may want to sing some songs about the Holy Ghost or make a list of how the spirit can speak to us.
See your summary sheet for more bonus ideas that can be used this week.
