April 13 – April 19 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids, Filled with Love towards God and All Men

With this week’s Come Follow Me Lesson we get to learn about King Benjamin and his message of service. After reading Mosiah 2:5-7 explain that there were so many people that King Benjamin built a tower so everyone could hear. 

Use legos, blocks, or any other materials you have and let the children work together to build a tower. Let each child color and assemble their Tent Cutout. Once assembled place the tents around the tower.

As the children are coloring the tent you can explain how the people were preparing to hear the word of God. Discuss ways we can prepare to hear the word of God.

Afterwards take a wiggle break and sing the song “I Have Two Little Hands.” Point out the the last line of the first verse, “There is plenty indeed for my two hands to do.” Explain that King Benjamin taught us what we should do with our two hands, serve others. Have the children complete the Service Foldable Book.

Use the Secret Service Tickets in your home this week to put service into action. You can leave them on pillows or other places around the house as you do service for others, or write on each one after doing service and try to fill a mason jar full.
