May 11 – May 17 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: We Have Entered into a Covenant with Him

This week we are focusing on Baptism and the covenants we make. Read Mosiah 18:8-10. Handout the Baptism Covenant Bookmarks and review our baptismal covenants.

Next begin the baptism object lesson. Have a discussion about becoming clean when we are baptized. Be sure to include Mosiah 18:17-28 in your conversation.

Let each child make a rainbow headband or a rainbow pin. Talk about how you become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when you are baptized.

Discuss how we are made clean when we are baptized and show the clear water from the object lesson.

Finish by making the interactive craft. As each child makes the craft you could talk about ways to prepare for baptism.

As a bonus activity discuss Mosiah 18:21-22 and discuss what it means to “have their hearts knit together in unity and love.” Complete the knit together in unity activity.
