July 27 – August 2 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: The Great Plan of Happiness

Begin this Come Follow Me Lesson by looking at the picture in the Come Follow Me for Individuals and Families Manual on page 121. Summarize the story of Corianton in a way that is appropriate for your children. Read Alma 39:9-13 and use the I Can Repent Activity.

Read Alma chapter 40 or listen to it on the Gospel Library App. For younger children you can read the chapter ahead of time and summarize it for them. Use the Plan of Salvation Poster as an interactive quiz. You can cut it and make it into a puzzle for the kids to put together.

Then play the Plan of Salvation board game.

Discuss how Alma told Corianton to be a good example. Complete the Jesus is Our Perfect Example Foldable.

To end the lesson play I Can Be A Good Example Charades Game.

Use the Scripture Marking Guides to study Alma 39:9-15

Read Alma 40:23 and teach that because Christ was resurrected we will be too. Use the Jesus was Resurrected Print as a visual. Then let everyone write or draw their thoughts on the Because Jesus was Resurrected Reflection Pages.
