October 12 – October 18 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Ye Are The Children of The Covenant

Begin this Come Follow Me lesson by singing Because I Have Been Given Much. Point out the line that says “I too must give” and discuss that one things we can give is our tithing. Read 3 Nephi 24:10, and complete the 1/10 activity.

After teaching how much 1/10 is let the children practice filling out a tithing slip and envelope.

Then complete the windows of heaven activity.

For a wiggle break sing the song Scripture Power. Read 3 Nephi 20:10-12, 23 and 26:1-12. Teach that the Lord wants us to diligently search the prophets’ words. Let each person set a goal for how they will study the scriptures. Give each person a Book of Mormon punch card to track their progress.

End the lesson with a fun scripture study. Use the Book of Mormon Jr and Sr Scavenger Hunts. Then share your testimony of scripture study.

You can use the Scripture Story Guides this week as you study the scriptures.

Another bonus activity this week is to teach about Family History. Explain that there are many ways for us to participate in Family History. Use the coloring page to discuss a few of those ideas.
