November 9 – November 15 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: Rend That Veil of Unbelief

The format of this Come Follow Me lesson is going to be different for the next 3 weeks. We have created a Tale of the Jaredite Sticker Book. This will help you and your family study a chapter in the book of Ether each night.

For the sticker book you will need to purchase sticker paper to print the stickers on. Another option is to cut and glue the stickers into the comic book.

Each night you will read or listen to the chapter as you create your sticker book page. There is also an additional activity to do that goes along with what you learn.

One activity is glow in the dark rocks. Before the lesson find 16 small stones or rocks. Or you can purchase some here. Also get some glow in the dark paint. Discuss how the Brother of Jared solved the problem of not having light on the ship. Paint the rocks with glow in the dark paint. Turn off all the lights and see them glow. You may need to hold them under a light for a couple of minutes for them to see them glow better.

Have a discussion about revelation. Use the Revelation Balloon Pop Object lesson. Like revelation to blowing up a balloon. Revelation starts small, but with each breath to blow up the balloon, or each revelation we receive, we are able to see a bigger picture. Before the lesson place the slips of paper with different ways we can receive revelation into the ballon. After blowing up the balloon pop it and talk about what the paper says.
