June 6 – June 12 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: My Heart Rejoiceth in the Lord

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

This week in the toddler lessons you’ll learn about what we can do to rejoice in the Lord.

1. Go on a walk as you talk about the story of Ruth and how sometimes God asks us to walk a different path then we expect. When you get home color the coloring page and draw pictures that represent your family’s path.
2. Continue to learn from the story of Ruth by teaching that she was caring and kind and would gather the leftover crops to make food. Write down acts of kindness you can do as a family and then gather the sheaves of grain as you complete those tasks.
3. Act out the story of Samuel being called by the voice of the Lord. Talk about ways we can listen to God through the Holy Ghost.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Go & Do Family Activity:

Read the story of Ruth and Naomi. Talk about what we learn about kindness from Ruth and things that we can do to be kind to others. Attempt to complete 100 acts of kindness as a family this week.

Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity:

Learn about Samuel and how he learned to hear the Lord. Make the ear headbands and a list of ways we can hear the Lord talk to us.

Each week the Come Follow Me Teen Lesson includes 4 discussion questions, a challenge, QR code to a video made by experienced Seminary teachers, and a scripture print to print off and display.
