We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.
Toddler Come Follow Me Activity
- Show your child some keys and talk about what they do. Explain that priesthood keys open the door to Heavenly Father’s power and blessings even though we can’t see them. Read Matthew 16:15-19 and color the coloring page.
- Read Matthew 16:13-17. Teach your children that we have a father in heaven who loves us and teaches us just like our fathers on earth. Sing “Daddy’s Homecoming” (Children’s Songbook pg. 210) and complete help your child complete the mini book.
- Explore mustard seeds and talk about how little they are. Compare them to other things in your home like a cheerio, gallon of milk, cr crayon. Talk about what it means to have faith and teach the story found in Matthew 17:17-19. Watch the video about the size of our faith.
Elementary Come Follow Me Activities
This week starts the last year of Christ’s life here on earth. For the next 12 weeks, we will read and study what Christ did during his last year. Think about what you would do if you knew you had one year to live.
Christ Coins
We have created a bedroom door poster titled: “My Collection of Christ” for your child’s bedroom. As you complete your Come, Follow Me study each week from April 10-July 2, you will find a Christ Coin for the miracles, teachings, and life of Christ. When you study that particular story, help your children find the right coin and add it to their poster.
This week looks a little different than most. We felt it was important to study the many miracles and stories taught by Christ in these
particular scripture verses. We have divided them into a short study for each day this week and hope the daily study and activities help these stories come to life for your children.
Summary of Day 2
Let your children use the stick puppets as you read the story of great faith in Matthew 15:22-28. Have a discussion on how your family can have faith like this woman and a mustard seed. Then read about the faith of those who brought people to be healed by Jesus in Matthew 15:30-31.
Summary of Day 3
In Matthew 15:32-39 we read about another time that Jesus feeds thousands of people with a few loaves and fishes. Let your children gather the loaves and fishes. Point out that Jesus first gave thanks for what food they had even though it was a small amount and all the people did eat and were filled!
Summary of Day 6
Make the Mount of Transfiguration Mini Book to help your kids understand Matthew 17:1-13. They can also complete the Break the Code for Matthew 17:3-8.
These are just two of the six fun, creative, and engaging activities for this week’s Come Follow Me FHE lesson. See your lesson plan page and materials for more activities and QR codes to videos and songs that go along with what we are learning about this week!
