April 17 – April 23 Come Follow Me Lesson for Kids: What Shall I Do to Inherit Eternal Life?

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

1. Teach your child what forgiveness means. Summarize the parable of the unmerciful servant found in Matthew 18:21-35. Use the coloring page to illustrate how many times we are to forgive and explain forgiveness is not about the number of times we forgive but become more like Christ.
2. Watch the video about the Good Samaritan. Have a discussion about what the parable teaches us. Use the finger puppets to role play scenarios where we can love everyone because that is what Jesus taught.
3. Make the paper plate sheep craft (see the instruction page for materials you’ll need). Read or summarize Matthew 18:11-14. Then read or listen to the story “You Are Special” and talk about how God loves us each of us very much.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Go and Do Family Activity

Help each member of your family fill out the Good, Better, Best printable with the activities they have coming up this week. Then read the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Talk about what things are best for your family to be doing.

Summary of this week’s Surprise Activity

Review the main lessons taught in Matthew 18 and Luke 10 with your family. Spend the week filling in your BINGO cards. Once everyone has a BINGO talk about how it feels to treat everyone as your neighbor.
