They “Never Did Fall Away”

Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids Lesson 28 | July 8-14 | Alma 23-29

Change is a difficult process, but one that brings both immediate and eternbal rewards. The people taught by Ammon and his brethren were blessed by change and had their hearts filled with joy as their faith in Christ grew. A key decision in their efforts to change was to lay down their “weapons of… rebellion” (Alma 23:7). Doing so eliminated a practice that had kept them separated from the love and power of Jesus Christ.

Even in our day, “weapons of rebellion” can keep our families from feeling the Spirit in our homes. We can “bury” them by doing the little things: choose to say a kinder word when we’re upset, offer a small service to show love, and listen to a loved one in their moment of need. These are things even kids can do to feel a real difference in the home.

This week’s Book of Mormon activities invite the Spirit and foster unity in your home. These inspiring lessons teach straight from the scriptures and include everything you need to make Come, Follow Me fun for your kids! Join our membership for only $10 a month, and you’ll gain access to a treasure trove of resources to strengthen your family’s spiritual foundation and growth.

Toddler Bundle Lessons & Activities

For kids ages 1-4 at home and in nursery or sunbeams. The toddler bundle Includes a full lesson plan with THREE activities that align with scripture written by an early childhood educator. These include a coloring page, another printable activity, and a movement activity that helps young children understand the scriptures. Here are a couple of highlights from this week’s lesson.

Jesus Brings Me Joy

Go & Do Activity

In Alma 26 & 29 we learn that Jesus brings us joy. What does joy mean? It means true, lasting happiness. The kind of happiness you find from living the gospel. Together with your children sing, ” If You’re Happy” (Children’s Songbook, pg. 266) and be sure to do the actions with clapping hands and so on. Then, as a family, draw a picture of something that brings you true joy. You can work with your toddler or they can do it independently if they want. Two-year-olds will likely need support. Then color your picture and display it on your fridge all week. To finish your lesson, hold up a picture of Jesus and as a family say aloud three times, “Jesus brings me joy!” End with your testimony of how Christ has brought joy to your life.

The toddler bundle includes a lesson plan and three activities every week. Grab the toddler bundle in our subscription.
