Faith is choosing to believe that God can do what we cannot. Whether we seek forgiveness of sins, strength to carry on amidst trials, or even a witness of things not seen, God will provide if we have faith.

Even as a prophet, Moroni himself had a crisis of faith when he wondered if the people of our day would accept the Book of Mormon. In his conversation with the Lord, he pleaded that those who read the Book of Mormon will see its message of Christ rather than the imperfections of its writers. The Lord comforted Moroni, extending a promise to both him and us that if we choose to have faith, He will always “make weak things become strong” (Ether 12:27).

Elementary Bundle Lessons & Activities​

If you missed the last two weeks, see the previous lessons for the first eleven chapters of your Tale of Jaredite Comic Book. As you finish Ether 12-15, use the following ideas to incorporate thecomic book into your Come, Follow Me study:

• Complete the comic book section together each night as a family.
• Let older children complete independently during a nightly study.
• At the end of the week share all your comic books in a show-and-tell fashion.
• Let each family member retell and read out loud a chapter of Ether using their comic book.

Add to your experience this week with a bonus object lesson called Following the Prophet. Use a finger trap to teach your family about the dangers of rejecting the prophet’s counsel. You can also use your Scripture Story Guides & Stickers. Also, don’t forget the media page and Faith coloring page this week to learn other important principles found within these chapters!

Toddler Bundle Lessons & Activities​

For kids ages 1-4 at home and in nursery or sunbeams.

This week, we’ll be sharing the gospel with your little ones using the activity book in the Elementary Bundle. Be sure to use the activity book for younger children (Level 1, Recommended for ages 3-6). Print your activity book pages, then cut all of them in half, except the cover. You will fold the cover in half to help keep the pages together. Put all your pages in order inside the cover and then staple along the left-hand edge. Make one book for each of your children.

Tell your child that to get stronger, we need to practice building our muscles. When we don’t exercise our muscles can get weak. Get a ball and have your child do rainbow ball sit-ups. Have your child lie on their back and place the ball between their legs. Invite them to lift their legs up in the air while keeping the ball between them. It should be challenging. Have them try to do as many as they can on their own. Pause and discuss. Ask your child if that was difficult. What was hard about that activity? Did they feel strong or weak? Tell your child about Moroni when he felt frail. He thought that he wasn’t good at writing. He felt like people were going to make fun of him. Ask, “Have you had a time when you felt like you weren’t good at something? What did you do?” Read Ether 12:27. Say, “The Lord tells us that He makes weak things become strong.” Have your child do the rainbow ball sit-ups again, but this time you help lift their legs, keeping the ball in place. The Lord can help us make our spirits stronger. If there is a time when we may feel we can’t do something, he will help us. We have to pray and ask for His help.
