This week is full of greatness! There are two big stories to teach. First the miracle of feeding the thousands with loaves and fishes. Next, Christ walking on water and Peter coming to Him. We enjoyed family dinner of fish sticks and bread sticks (healthy right?) while we read the story aloud from the bible. Then we completed these activities as a family! We sang The Miracle together and it really brought the spirit. Find it HERE and HERE.

The First Vision wasn’t the only time Jesus Christ appeared to the Prophet Joseph. On Easter Sunday in 1836, the Savior stood in the Kirtland temple and declared, “For behold, I have accepted this house, and my name shall be here” (D&C 110:7). For the first time in millennia, a temple of God was again on the earth.
With our busy lives, it can be too easy to think we have to have the strength to do it all ourselves: getting kids up and ready for school, working long hours, doing laundry and dishes, making meals, planning activities, fulfilling callings, and so on. We will become burned out from life if we trust only ourselves to make everything happen.
Between activities like school, work, and even church callings, we can easily get caught up in being so busy that we forget what it’s all for. No matter what we do for our family, what matters most is “why” we have our family: to live together forever in love and joy. Our Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation is how we can make that happen.
