Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids

Week 30 | July 17 - July 23

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

  1. In Acts 10 we are reminded that we are all children of God. Pick a verse or two that stand out to you and share them with your children. As you color the coloring page, listen to this song.
  2. As you tell the story in Acts 12:1-17 of Peter being freed from prison, give each person a stick puppet to be in charge of. We suggest studying the story ahead of time to summarize it for toddlers. But remember to read a couple verses from the scriptures.
  3. Let each child decorate a paper cup to be their special cup. Write “I believe in Christ” on the cup and then let them decorate with stickers or markers. Read Acts 11:26. Then fill the glasses and do a little toast together.

“My Law to Govern My Church”

The Lord Jesus Christ was pleased to see saints gathering from many places as the restored gospel began to spread across the earth. As the Church grew, the Lord gave commandments to organize the saints. These commandments would encourage them to live in harmony with one another.

“If Ye Are Not One Ye Are Not Mine”

As the Lord Jesus Christ continued to reveal His restored Church through the Prophet Joseph, the early Saints were instructed to gather in Kirtland, Ohio, leaving behind their comfortable homes and businesses. The idea of living according to God’s way and dedicating their lives to the Lord was an exciting prospect for many of these saints. The sacrifices they made along the way were not easy, but their work still impacts our lives today through the global blessings of the gospel.

“I Am He Who Liveth, I Am He Who Was Slain”

The First Vision wasn’t the only time Jesus Christ appeared to the Prophet Joseph. On Easter Sunday in 1836, the Savior stood in the Kirtland temple and declared, “For behold, I have accepted this house, and my name shall be here” (D&C 110:7). For the first time in millennia, a temple of God was again on the earth.
