The Lord Raised Up a Deliverer

Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids

Week 23 | May 30 - June 5

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

Learn about daring to do right, doing small things to help accomplish great things, and gaining physical and spiritual strength with your toddlers this week.

  1. Tell the story about Deborah the Prophetess found in Judges 4:1-15. Color the coloring page as you discuss how God will help us if we dare, or have the courage, to make the right choice.
  2. Trace everyone’s hand and cut them out. Notice who has the smallest hand and talk about how even though our hands may be small we can do great things.
  3. Perform simple exercises with your child. Just as we need to exercise to get stronger muscles we need to strengthen our spirits. Learn about the story of Samson and how he lost both his physical and spiritual strength because he didn’t keep the commandments.

Elementary Come Follow Me Activities

Summary of this week’s Go & Do Family Activity:

Learn about how Jesus Christ is our Deliverer as you talk about the repentance process. The bondage chain activity is good visual to show how we are bound by sin but through Christ we can break the chains.

Summary of this week’s Hands-on Learning Activity:

Review what we’ve learned about God delivering the Israelites in the chapters of Judges by doing the cut and paste timeline.

These are just two of the six fun, creative, and engaging activities for this week’s Come Follow Me FHE lesson. See your lesson plan page and materials for more activities and QR codes to videos and songs that go along with what we are learning about this week!

“I Am He Who Liveth, I Am He Who Was Slain”

The First Vision wasn’t the only time Jesus Christ appeared to the Prophet Joseph. With our busy lives, it can be too easy to think we have to have the strength to do it all ourselves: getting kids up and ready for school, working long hours, doing laundry and dishes, making meals, planning activities, fulfilling callings, and so on. We will become burned out from life if we trust only ourselves to make everything happen.

“Jesus Christ Will Gather His People”

Between activities like school, work, and even church callings, we can easily get caught up in being so busy that we forget what it’s all for.
