This week includes a fun activity with Marshmallows. This activity is a great object lesson to teach about patience. We also created the coloring page to center around patience.
The other main focus for this week is the first vision. In your materials we have provided story sticks to teach about Joseph Smith. Use the fill in the blank page bible print for the scripture in James chapter 1 verse 5.
One of the bonus activities includes learning about kindness. Complete the kindness coloring page and create your kindness jar to collect the acts of kinds your family completes all week.

The First Vision wasn’t the only time Jesus Christ appeared to the Prophet Joseph. On Easter Sunday in 1836, the Savior stood in the Kirtland temple and declared, “For behold, I have accepted this house, and my name shall be here” (D&C 110:7). For the first time in millennia, a temple of God was again on the earth.
With our busy lives, it can be too easy to think we have to have the strength to do it all ourselves: getting kids up and ready for school, working long hours, doing laundry and dishes, making meals, planning activities, fulfilling callings, and so on. We will become burned out from life if we trust only ourselves to make everything happen.
Between activities like school, work, and even church callings, we can easily get caught up in being so busy that we forget what it’s all for. No matter what we do for our family, what matters most is “why” we have our family: to live together forever in love and joy. Our Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation is how we can make that happen.
