Come Follow Me Lessons & Activities for Kids

Week 48 | November 21 - November 27

We have multiple lessons for a variety of ages in our digital subscription to help you find what works best for your family. Our goal is to help families come closer to Christ and we’ve worked really hard on providing more options to help families implement Come Follow Me in their home.

Toddler Come Follow Me Activity

This week is all about Jonah and the Whale.

  1. Tell the story of Jonah of Jonah and the Whale. Color the coloring page as you talk about how when we pray for help and strength Heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers us.
  2. Review the story of Jonah and the Whale by watching the scripture story video. Then have a puppet show to let your child retell the story.
  3. Tell your family about an experience you had sharing the gospel and how it make you happy. Play the game “telephone” with simple gospel truths such as “the temple is a house of God.” Explain that when we share the gospel with others they are blessed to learn about Jesus.

“I Am He Who Liveth, I Am He Who Was Slain”

The First Vision wasn’t the only time Jesus Christ appeared to the Prophet Joseph. On Easter Sunday in 1836, the Savior stood in the Kirtland temple and declared, “For behold, I have accepted this house, and my name shall be here” (D&C 110:7). For the first time in millennia, a temple of God was again on the earth.

“Lift Up Your Voices… to Declare My Gospel”

With our busy lives, it can be too easy to think we have to have the strength to do it all ourselves: getting kids up and ready for school, working long hours, doing laundry and dishes, making meals, planning activities, fulfilling callings, and so on. We will become burned out from life if we trust only ourselves to make everything happen.

“Jesus Christ Will Gather His People”

Between activities like school, work, and even church callings, we can easily get caught up in being so busy that we forget what it’s all for. No matter what we do for our family, what matters most is “why” we have our family: to live together forever in love and joy. Our Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation is how we can make that happen.
